Rachel Chandler
Rachel Chandler lives and works in New York City. She has held DJ residencies at the Beatrice Inn, Avenue, and presently at the Boom Boom Room. She served as the DJ in residence at Le Baron de Tokyo in early 2010. She has also worked at the Jane Hotel, Lit, the Bowery Hotel, the Tribeca Grand, the SubMercer at the Mercer Hotel in New York and le Montana in Paris. She also plays private fashion and art events around the world including the Whitney Biennial, the Venice Biennale, and parties for The Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Moscow, Purple Magazine, Sotheby’s, Zac Posen and Louis Vuitton, to name a few. She is also a freelance photographer for Vogue.com, Purple Magazine, purple-diary.com, and the New York Times. Rachel plays a wide range of music. She incorporates select new music with an emphasis on older music ranging from Motown to New-Wave Electronic to Hip-Hop.
