Les Jean-Paul Belmondo’s, c’est le Rock New-Yorkais 70′s, les invisibles Nouveautés, la Cold Wave British de 1981, la Pop Up des Sixties, les pépites New Wave ou encore les impudiques French Beats.
Fabien et Lionel , en insatiables passionnés, moissonnent tous les disques qui résonnent, et cultivent en commun le goût de les choisir en scopitone, en devenir, ou sur parole, et tout à coup ils vous prennent par la main, pour une soirée extatique.
Face A, Fabien, mèche et veston, parisien de mode et salon, relation presse et punk au fond.
Face B, Lionel, collaborateur de cabinet le jour, élégance discrète et ambitions haut de gamme en sa qualité de noctambule invétéré.
2001, la rencontre puis l’instantanée adoration, le duo se cherche un nom, déjà exégètes du son. Depuis ils sont tant à la fête qu’au chaudron dans des mixes à perdre raison, on les retrouve au Paris-Paris, Gaveau, Régine, Baron, Pop In à semer la passion.
Des évènements de renom les ont reçus pour le blason : Tommy Hilfiger, Vins de Bordeaux, Paco Rabanne, Zadig & Voltaire, Whisky Clan Campbell. Les fêtes organisées par les magazines Crash et Mixt(E) ont goûté leur apparition. En d’autres nuits ils partagèrent le balcon avec des amis de passage : Kills, Pipettes ou Libertines.

Jean-Paul Belmondos are not just your typical jukebox playlist DJ’s :
They mix 1970‘s New York City rock, the British cold-wave trend from 1981, Sixties Pop-up sounds, nuggets of the New Wave and a smattering of indecently provocative French beats. Fabien and Lionel have an insatiable hunger for new sounds ; scrolling through the racks like mad scientists and carefully picking them in scopitone. Without you realising it, they will take you by the hand and hook you up with an ecstatic night.
On side A, we fancy Fabien with his Parisian style, nifty jackets and stranded hair-do. With fashion PR as his day job, he’s a thoroughbred punk at heart. Flip to side B, ladies and gentleman and we introduce Lionel ; this elegant “Cabinet-Consultant” seems the most discreet of the two. Nevertheless, Lionel likes to play it high-end and won’t stop the party until he finds the right beat.
Since their first encounter in 2001, it’s constant complicity. Hear them play in Paris’ Places To Be Seen - Le Paris-Paris, Gaveau, Regine, Le Baron…or while gigging at Le Pop-In. The J-P B’s have cemented their reputation adding fashion collaborations to their repertoire: Tommy Hilfiger, Paco Rabanne, Zadig & Voltaire, Whisky Clan Campbell, Mixte Mode and Crash magazine to name a few.
On more low-key nights, they like to share the spot with The Kills, The Pipettes or The Libertines. Recently hunted by Paris’ top DJ agency “Tete D’affiche”, The Jean-Paul Belmondos can’t wait to entertain the world.
