C.C. Sheffield you may recognize from her appearances on TV (HBO’s True Blood), movie screen (Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere), or International ad campaigns. You may be familiar with her voice from her international hit with Dj Tiesto « Escape me »(Ultra) or her songwriting on Deadmau5 »Raise your Weapons »(Virgin UK). Djing became a part of her repertoire of performance, when she began « La Boum » a club night in Hollywood, upstairs from the famous Avalon. At night she played Hip Hop hits to Liquid Liquid, with young starlets, the degenerates of Hollywood, and the young rock bands coming through town. Forming friendships with MGMT, Devendra Banheart, and Steve Akoi. During the day still pursuing the next acting break, songwriting session and photo shoot. But it was her talent as a DJ, that was noticed leading to a residency at the Standard Hotel, Hollywood and Downtown paving the path to her international adventures. Including the opening of Nikki Beach Alexandria, Egypt, Cosy Box, Cannes, to The Fashion Bar, Tokyo. Nylon Magazine Dubbed her an « It Girl », and BPM magazine boasted » 5 yrs she is sure to be on the A list. » C.C.’s knowledge and curation of music is undeniably impressive and eclectic. Her girlish energy, and enthusiasm is infectious to her audience, whatever the event or situation. From an energetic club night in Paris, to Kate Hudson’s Halloween party or a mellow fundraiser for The David Lynch Foundation. As 944 magazine noted « C.C. Sheffield isn’t just another pretty face. »
